AVENIQUE COMMUNITY GUIDELINES

Last Updated: July 16, 2026

Avenique is a premium, relationship-focused platform designed to foster genuine, long-term connections. Our community is built on mutual respect, integrity, and safety. These Community Guidelines govern the behavior of all users on our platform and work together with our Terms of Use, Privacy Policy, Safety Rules, Biometric Information Policy, and Child Safety & CSAM Enforcement Policy.

By creating an account, you agree to abide by these guidelines. Violation of these guidelines constitutes a material breach of the Terms of Use and will result in warnings, temporary suspension, or permanent account termination.

Interpretation: The examples of prohibited conduct in these guidelines are illustrative, not exhaustive. Conduct that violates the spirit of these guidelines is prohibited even if it is not specifically listed. BafaTech determines, in its reasonable judgment, whether conduct violates these guidelines.

No Evasion: Attempting to evade or defeat our moderation systems is itself a violation, regardless of whether the underlying content would otherwise be caught. This includes deliberate misspellings, coded language, character substitution, splitting prohibited content across multiple messages, use of link shorteners or redirects to disguise prohibited links, embedding prohibited content in images, and any other technique intended to disguise conduct prohibited by these guidelines.

Off-Platform Conduct: As described in Section 4.3 of the Terms of Use, we may take enforcement action based on conduct occurring off the platform, including actions, investigations, or convictions, where that conduct indicates a risk to the safety of our members or the integrity of the Service.

SECTION 1: ZERO TOLERANCE FOR HARASSMENT AND ABUSE

We maintain a zero-tolerance policy for behaviors that threaten, demean, or make other users feel unsafe.

1.1 Harassment and Bullying

You must not engage in, coordinate, or encourage harassment. This includes:

  • Targeted Abuse: Sending repetitive, unwanted messages, insults, or slurs to a match.
  • Threats of Harm: Expressing an intent to cause physical, emotional, or financial harm to another user.
  • Doxxing: Publishing, sharing, or threatening to share a user's private personal information (such as their home address, workplace, phone number, or real-world identity details) without their explicit consent.
  • Stalking: Attempting to track, follow, or contact matches on other social networks or in the real world after they have unmatched, blocked, or asked you to stop.
  • Weaponizing Private Content: Publishing or sharing another user's private conversations, photos, or profile content outside the platform in order to harass, shame, embarrass, or intimidate them. This is prohibited regardless of whether the content includes identity details.
  • Impersonating BafaTech: Claiming to be, or implying that you are, BafaTech staff, a moderator, an Avenique matchmaker, or otherwise affiliated with the Service.

1.2 Hate Speech and Discrimination

Any content, bios, prompts, or direct messages that promote discrimination, hatred, or violence against individuals or groups based on the following protected attributes is strictly prohibited:

  • Race, ethnicity, or national origin.
  • Religion or belief system.
  • Disability, medical condition, or genetic profile.
  • Age.
  • Sex, gender, gender identity, or gender expression.
  • Sexual orientation.

1.3 Body Shaming and Slurs

Profiles, bios, and messaging communications must remain respectful. You may not use derogatory language, make insulting comments regarding another user's physical appearance, body type, height, or use slurs of any kind.

1.4 Self-Harm and Suicide-Related Content

Avenique is not a crisis or mental-health service. See Section 5.4 of the Terms of Use.

The following is strictly prohibited:

  • Encouragement or Coaching: Encouraging, goading, daring, or pressuring anyone to die by suicide, attempt suicide, or engage in self-harm.
  • Instructional Content: Sharing methods, how-to guidance, tips, or graphic descriptions intended to help someone carry out suicide or self-harm.
  • Glorification: Romanticizing, celebrating, or glorifying suicide or self-harm.
  • Weaponizing Distress: Using another user's mental-health struggles, suicidal ideation, or self-harm history to harass, manipulate, blackmail, or coerce them.

Seeking help or expressing that you are struggling is not by itself a violation. If you are in crisis, contact emergency services or a crisis line immediately (see our Safety Rules). If a match appears to be in immediate danger, contact local emergency services and report the conversation to us so we can review it; reporting to Avenique is not a substitute for calling for help.

SECTION 2: AUTHENTICITY AND PROFILE INTEGRITY

Honest representation is the core of Avenique. Relationships cannot build on deceit.

2.1 Fake Profiles and Catfishing

  • Identity: You must register using your real name and represent your true identity. Catfishing, or pretending to be another person, is strictly prohibited. This is enforced through mandatory biometric selfie verification, governed by our Biometric Information Policy.
  • Accurate Photos: All photos uploaded to your profile must be recent (taken within the last 12 months) and accurately reflect your current appearance. You may not use photos containing filters that heavily distort your facial features, stock photos, or images of celebrities.
  • No Minors: To protect children, you may not post photos depicting minors. If you upload a family photo, you must ensure that only adults are visible, or that minors are cropped out or completely obscured. Any account we reasonably suspect belongs to a minor is suspended pending review. See our Child Safety & CSAM Enforcement Policy for our full standards and reporting procedures.

2.2 Account Ownership

  • Single Profile: Each user is permitted to create and maintain only one active profile. Multiple accounts will be merged or deleted.
  • No Account Sharing: You may not allow any other person to use, manage, or access your profile. Group accounts, joint accounts, or matching accounts run by third parties are prohibited.
  • No Account or Verified-Status Transfer: You may not sell, rent, lease, lend, or otherwise transfer your account or verified status to any person, and you may not purchase, rent, or borrow access to another person's account or verified status. Violations result in permanent termination of all involved accounts.

SECTION 3: COMMERCIAL USE AND SOLICITATION PROHIBITIONS

Avenique is a private, personal networking space. Commercial exploitation of our platform is strictly forbidden.

3.1 Financial Solicitation and Sugar Dating

  • No Requests for Money: You may not ask other users for money, loans, gifts, cryptocurrency, or financial support under any circumstances. This includes sharing bank account numbers, mobile money handles, or payment identifiers (such as NUBAN account details, CashApp, Venmo, Zelle, or PayPal handles) for the purpose of soliciting funds.
  • No Sugar Relationships: Offering or seeking "sugar dating," transactional arrangements, compensation for companionship, or transactional intimacy is strictly banned and will result in immediate termination.

3.2 Spam, Links, and External Subscriptions

  • No Commercial Links: You may not place links to commercial sites, personal stores, business pages, or crowdfunding campaigns (e.g., GoFundMe, Kickstarter) on your profile.
  • No Adult Platform Links: Sharing handles, links, or references to adult subscription services (such as OnlyFans, Fansly, Patreon, or private snapchat groups) on your profile, bio, or initial chats is strictly prohibited.
  • No Self-Promotion: You may not use the App to gather followers for your social media channels (e.g., Instagram, TikTok, YouTube). Profiles created solely for social media promotion will be flagged and removed.

SECTION 4: PROFILE CONTENT STANDARDS

All materials uploaded to a user profile must comply with standard content guidelines:

  • Nudity and Sexual Expression: Profile pictures must not contain explicit nudity, exposed genitalia, visible pubic hair, or depictions of sexual acts. Swimwear and activewear are permitted only in appropriate settings (e.g., at the beach or gym) and must not be sexually suggestive.
  • Violence and Weapons: Photos displaying firearms, knives, tactical weapons, illegal drugs, drug paraphernalia, or acts of violence are strictly prohibited.
  • Copyrighted Materials: You may only upload photographs and text that you own or have the lawful right to display.
  • Child Sexual Abuse and Exploitation: Any content sexualizing, depicting, or facilitating access to minors is strictly and permanently prohibited without exception. See our Child Safety & CSAM Enforcement Policy for full detail on reporting, enforcement, and our legal obligations.

SECTION 5: REPORTING AND MALICIOUS REPORTS

  • Good Faith Reporting: We encourage users to report violations of these guidelines immediately. Reports are treated confidentially by our Trust & Safety team. Reports involving suspected minors or child exploitation are triaged ahead of all other queues. See our Child Safety & CSAM Enforcement Policy.
  • Malicious Reporting Prohibited: You may not submit reports to retaliate against a user who rejected you, unmatched you, or with whom you had an unsuccessful date. Submitting false or malicious reports constitutes a violation of these guidelines and may lead to account suspension.

SECTION 6: MODERATION PROCESS AND APPEALS

Review Policy: Our Trust & Safety team reviews all reports. We may also employ automated scanning algorithms to detect policy violations (such as explicit images, scam patterns, or child-safety violations), under the consent described in Section 7.4 of the Terms of Use.

Consequences: Violations of these guidelines will result in:

  • Content Removal: Deletion of the offending photo, bio text, or prompt.
  • Warnings: Official alerts regarding the infraction.
  • Temporary Suspensions: Disabling account functionality for a specified period (e.g., 7 to 30 days).
  • Permanent Device Bans: Permanent closure of the account, accompanied by device hardware bans, phone number blacklist hashing, and, for serious violations, retention of a face-derived ban signal as described in our Biometric Information Policy.
  • Legal Referral: Where required by law, referral to law enforcement, NCMEC, or equivalent authorities (including NAPTIP for Nigeria-based matters), with associated evidence preserved per our Child Safety & CSAM Enforcement Policy.

Appeals: If you believe your account was moderated or banned in error, you may file an appeal within fourteen (14) days of the enforcement action using the contact form at the bottom of this page (choose Appeals). You will receive an automated acknowledgment with a reference number when you submit an appeal. Decisions made by our Trust & Safety team upon appeal review are final, except where mandatory applicable law provides otherwise. Enforcement actions taken under a legal hold are not eligible for standard appeal while the hold remains active.

6.1 Broad Discretion and No Right to Service

Avenique is a private platform, and access to the Service is a privilege, not a right. Subject to the appeal process described in Section 6 and to any rights you have under mandatory applicable law, BafaTech reserves broad discretion to refuse service, suspend, or permanently terminate any account where we believe doing so is necessary to protect the platform, our members, or the integrity of the Service, with or without prior notice, and without liability to you. Except where required by mandatory applicable law, BafaTech is not obligated to disclose its internal investigation methods, detection signals, or the specific evidence underlying a moderation decision, because such disclosure would allow bad actors to evade our safety systems. Where we restrict an account, we will provide the general reason class for the restriction as described in our user-facing restriction transparency practices, unless doing so is prohibited by law or would compromise an active investigation or legal hold.
